About me
Sara Friedman brings over 20 years of experience in independent school counseling, spanning lower, middle, and upper school settings. For the past 15 years, she has been an integral part of the Lovett School community, first serving as a middle school counselor before being named the director of school counseling five years ago. In this leadership role, she has worked to build and grow a comprehensive K–12 counseling program and team, fostering a strong continuum of social-emotional support for students at every stage of their development.
Sara holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work. She is also a Gallup-certified Strengths Coach and a certified QPR Gatekeeper Instructor, bringing specialized expertise in both strengths-based development and suicide prevention training to her work with students, families, and colleagues. A lifelong Atlanta resident, Sara has deep roots in the community she serves, and she brings that same sense of connection and care to her work with the Lovett School family.
