About me
Angie Young is a speech-language pathologist with more than 20 years of experience serving school-aged children with a wide range of speech and language needs. She is currently employed with Franklin Special District (FSD) in Franklin, TN. In her role as SLP with FSD, Angie works exclusively with K-4 students at Battle Ground Academy.
Throughout her career, Angie has collaborated with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to develop and implement individualized, evidence-based supports that help students achieve their communication goals. Her experience in diverse educational environments has provided her with a broad perspective on effective school-based speech-language services and the value of interdisciplinary teamwork in supporting student success.
Angie earned her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Kentucky University in Communication Disorders and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), as well as certification from the Tennessee Department of Education. She has practiced in multiple states, working in a variety of school settings throughout her career.
