Participants will learn how to support their dyslexic students in the classroom who may have speech and language weaknesses. Key components include

Identify characteristics of how the students present in the classroom.
Evaluate word-retrieval delays that manifest as slow letter naming or heavy reliance on vague filler words.
Target morphological (word-internal structure) and syntactical (sentence-external structure) weaknesses to build stronger decoding and language frameworks, among other strategies.
Formulate targeted speech-language interventions that bridge the gap between spoken language processing and written literacy success.
