Scaling Support Through Student-Centered Data

Academic support is deeply relational, but traditional, isolated caseload models make it difficult to systematically identify school-wide trends. In this interactive session, Mount Vernon School shares its operational blueprint for scaling student coaching to reach 97.39% of the high school population. By analyzing over 4,300 student touchpoints, our team transitioned from a reactive, remedial space to a visible, proactive, schoolwide Tier 1 division. We will demonstrate how to physically redesign support environments to destigmatize help-seeking, optimize existing flex blocks to target executive functioning, and utilize private AI as a collaborative partner to securely translate qualitative logs into Tier 1 classroom strategies. Participants will leave with a practical toolkit, including automated tracking templates, to sustainably expand coaching capacity and foster student agency.
